EcoVend launches ‘X Range’ Reverse Vending Machines
EcoVend, one of the world’s leading manufacturers of Reverse Vending Machines (RVM), has today launched its latest range of machines which feature significantly increased processing speeds and bottle identification technology.
Several developments including faster compactors, a new conveyor and larger collection baskets mean that the X Range will now be able to process an impressive 40-45 bottles a minute. This is compared to approximately 15-20 per minute in the EcoVend standard machine.
Introduction of a new 360-degree identification scanner also increases processing capacity as bottles no longer need to be rotated to ensure the barcode and bottle dimensions are read and measured.
Continued innovation and development of the EcoVend software platform provides customers with excellent remote diagnostics capability. The ‘heartbeat’ of every machine is continually monitored to ensure it is working correctly and enables proactive intervention if required. Analysis of the products deposited in the RVM means that the platform can provide valuable insight into consumer behaviour and buying patterns. The machines are also compatible with EPOS systems to support customer reward schemes or rebates.
EcoVend machines are unique in offering integrated advertising media in the form of audio-visual screens and light panel boxes. These can be used to promote the retailer’s own products or the space can be sold to provide an additional revenue stream.
Commenting on the launch EcoVend’s Managing Director, Travis Way, said: “Whilst the processing capacity of our standard machines will be more than adequate for many smaller retailers, we recognised that shopping centres, larger stores and high street supermarkets will benefit from an increased processing capacity. This will ensure that waiting time is kept to a minimum and remove the need for additional machines that would take up valuable retail space.”
The EcoVend X range includes the 400 model for cans and PET plastic bottles as well as the larger 1450 and 2000 models which can also collect glass.
As part of the Reconomy Group, retailers working with EcoVend have the opportunity to harness the experience and expertise of the Group’s other brands including compliance and data insight specialists, Valpak, and the reverse logistics partner RLG.
